Videographer Rendezvous

We spend most of our Sunday afternoon for our individual and couple interviews with our videographer (DJ) and sound engineer (Ron). We were a bit nervous because we aren't used to the cameras being in front of our faces, but as we progressed through the videotaping, we were in a much more comfortable state. It was good that DJ and Ron made us laugh throughout the process. I can't wait to see the final piece at our wedding :)

Here is our "getting ready" shots before we were videotaped:

Preoccupied - Time Flies

Lots of things are happening our way, and Scott and I have enjoyed every minute and every process of the wedding planning :) We know that it is a lifetime event and it doesn't last forever. We figured we might as well enjoy it now.

- House hunting has been in the works
- Meetings with our wedding vendors
- Organizing get togethers with our friends and family
- Work
- Wedding showers

I didn't realize how much detail a wedding entails. We are literally down to the wire and in the next few months, we'll be married.

We were also surprised and overjoyed by the arrival of some of our wedding presents that were sent in the mail. If you are reading this, we would like to give special thanks to Carlos and Julie Manese, Lucy Kawate, Primo & Bernice Legaspi for your generous contributions to our registries. Your contributions will be used for our new home in the near future.

Parents Meet and Greet

Thought last night was going to be a big stressor since Scott's parents came to our house to dinner to discuss our wedding/housing plans. It turned out to be a great event. My mom cooked lots of wonderful food like she always does w/leftovers to give to everyone. Auntie Ester brought over a fruit basket from Edible Arrangements. I had our table centerpiece from Auntie Tess to show our parents. Plus, Ed (photographer) came over with our enlarged picture for people to sign at our wedding. I didn't take any pictures last night, but nonetheless, everyone had a good time bonding and laughing. Happy parents means happy couple (us).

Happy New Year!!!

We started the year 2009 with a bang! In February, we always go to our favorite restaurant at Roy's La Jolla, where Scott and I got engaged.

Then, we took a vacation to Denver, Colorado to see my gf and bridesmaid, Mona and her man Nick since Scott hasn't been there before. It was definitely a beautiful sight to see with the snow and the mountain view top.

Then, it was my birthday in June.

With all the wedding planning that was taking place this year, Scott and I decided to take a trip to Arizona with Iish and Yohko. We stayed in Sedona and checked out Grand Canyon.

Then in September, we took our engagement photos with the Atrero's.

Scott's birthday came quickly in October.

We also planned a trip in Vegas for Marvin's birthday.

Christmas came quickly this year. We didn't expect this year to go by quickly.

Of course we are always grateful that we were able to spend it with our dear family and friends because they have been through each pivotal moment in our lives. We are definitely looking forward to 2010 where we will be married soon. Happy New Year! Here's to a New Year! Make it a memorable one.

The Cake Lady

We chose our cake...whee! After wrestling back and forth between many wonderful vendors, we finally picked the Cake Lady - Shirley Resnick. She's this 70+ woman who makes cakes from scratch. Although she loves to talk and tell many stories, her cakes taste wonderfully amazing because all of her different flavored cakes melt in your mouth. It was an additional plus that she has a funny and amazing personality. Scott and I definitely got a kick out of her bride/groom stories.

The flavors we chose were butter strawberry shortcake swirl, double fudge chocolate, and the topper amaretto.
